National Film Awards Ceremony Shifted from Delhi to Kevadia, Gujarat: Shiv Sena MP Questions Decision

For the first time in the history of 72 years, the National Film Awards ceremony is going to be held in Gujarat instead of the national capital Delhi. The award ceremony, which has always been held in Rashtrapati Bhavan, will be held this year in Kevadia, Gujarat, and President Draupadi Murmu will reach there and award the winners. This decision of the government has been questioned by Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut. Uddhav Thackeray faction leader Sanjay Raut has asked film personalities to boycott this award ceremony if they have self-respect. Sanjay Raut has questioned what is the point of taking the award ceremony, which used to take place in Rashtrapati Bhavan every year since its inception, to Gujarat. Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sanjay Raut questioned whether he is only the Prime Minister of Gujarat. Moreover, the UBT MP claimed that PM Modi and Amit Shah work with the thinking that everyone is slaves of Gujarat. He further said, "I am not saying that this award should be given in Mumbai, it should be targeted in the Indian capital."
