There is a lot of talk about Sharad Pawar's NCP in Maharashtra. Sometimes there is talk of his party merging with the Congress. Sometimes there is a rumour that the Sharad faction is preparing to join the NDA. Meanwhile, party MP and Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule has denied all speculations. She says that her party has not received any such proposal. Baramati MP Supriya Sule said in Mumbai on Saturday (July 18) that the NCP has neither received any proposal to join the NDA nor to merge with the ruling NCP or Congress. There has been no proposal from anyone. Neither Sharad Pawar, Jayant Patil, Anil Deshmukh, Rajesh Tope nor any other senior leader of our party has received any such proposal. Earlier on July 10, too, Supriya Sule had dismissed speculations of a major political change in Maharashtra. She had said that her party has no intention to join the NDA. During a press conference, Supriya Sule had said that "no one is talking to us."
