NCPI Gains Recognition as Second Largest Ally of BJP-Led NDA

The arrangement of separate seating arrangement in the Lok Sabha of 20 rebel MPs who joined the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI) after breaking away from the Trinamool Congress (TMC), which was in power in West Bengal for 15 years under the leadership of former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, has been approved by the Speaker of the House, Om Birla. At the same time, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has also recognized Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar as the Chief Whip of the NCPI in Parliament and Sudip Bandyopadhyay as the Floor Leader. After the approval of the separate seating arrangement of the NCPI MPs by the Lok Sabha Speaker and the recognition of the leaders, now the Nationalist Citizens Party of India is going to make its new beginning as the second largest ally of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Center in the coming monsoon session of the country's parliament. After 239 MPs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the NDA, the National Citizens Party of India (NCPI) has the second largest seating arrangement with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCPI).
