NDA-Backed Candidate Parimal Nathwani Wins Rajya Sabha Election in Jharkhand

NDA-backed candidate Parimal Nathwani has won the Rajya Sabha election in Jharkhand. Parimal Nathwani's victory is being considered a setback for Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the INDIA block. There have been reports of cross-voting by MLAs of the INDIA block in this election. Parimal Nathwani has received 30 votes, while Pranav Jha of the Congress has received 20 votes. The real contest in Jharkhand was between Parimal Nathwani and Pranav Jha of the Congress. Vaidyanath Ram of the JMM has won this election. Although Vaidyanath Ram's victory was considered certain. An official said that amid cross-voting, NDA-backed independent candidate Parimal Nathwani won one of the two Rajya Sabha seats in Jharkhand on Thursday and defeated Pranav Jha of the Congress. Parimal Nathwani's cross-voting in Jharkhand has led to his victory. Four opposition MLAs have cross-voted in his favour. The ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate in the second seat, Baidyanath Ram Jha, was declared the winner after receiving 28 votes.
