NDA Strengthens Grip on Rajya Sabha After Winning 27 Seats

After the election of 27 Rajya Sabha seats, the Upper House arithmetic seems to be largely in favour of the BJP-led NDA alliance. The NDA's tally has reached 153 after the victory of independent candidate Parimal Nathwani in the Rajya Sabha elections of Jharkhand. While in West Bengal, 4 more seats have been vacated after the resignation of 4 TMC Rajya Sabha MPs Sukhendu Sekhar Roy, Sushmita Dev, Prakash Chick Barike and Koel Mallick.
