New Administrator Takes Charge as Zilla Panchayat Term Ends

RAJKOT: The five-year term of office-bearers and elected members in zilla panchayats ended last evening. The zilla panchayat president returned the office, car, bungalow facility he was getting. Today, the nameplates of the office-bearers have been removed from the second floor of the panchayat office. The state government has installed a board in his name appointing collector Dr Omprakash as the administrator. He took charge at 2 pm today. (Photo: Sandeep Bagriyath)
