Mandi and Palampur Municipal Corporations in Himachal Pradesh got new mayors and deputy mayors today (Monday). Suman Thakur and Jitendra Sharma of the Bharatiya Janata Party were elected as mayors and deputy mayors of Mandi Municipal Corporation. Suman Thakur has been elected as councillor for five consecutive terms. Radha Sood mayor of Palampur and Neelam Malik of Palampur Congress were elected as deputy mayors.
