Odisha's 2026-27 Budget Prioritizes Timely Assistance for Old-Age and Widow Pension Beneficiaries

Odisha Budget 2026-27 Photograph: (OTV) In a major announcement during theOdishaBudget 2026-27 presentation,Chief MinisterMohan Majhi declared that old-age and widow pension benefits will now be made more accessible, ensuring that no eligible person has to wait to receive assistance. Under theMadhu Babu Pension Yojana, all eligible beneficiaries will be included without delay. The Chief Minister stated that the earlier rule of filling vacancies only after the death of an existing beneficiary will no longer be applicable.
