Omar Abdullah Accuses BJP of Trying to Poach Jammu and Kashmir Party MLAs

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has accused the BJP of trying to poach his party MLAs, claiming that a BJP leader and a Supreme Court lawyer had approached him. According to Omar, the offer was made to switch sides. According to Omar, the offer was made to leave the party. He said the BJP tried to destabilise his government, but not a single National Conference MLA went with them. Omar also questioned the central government over the delay in restoring statehood. Addressing a workers'conference in Srinagar's Hazratbal, Omar Abdullah said the BJP tried to poach his party MLAs. He claimed that one of his Jammu MLAs had told him that a BJP leader and a Supreme Court lawyer had approached him. According to Omar, the MLA had been assured to switch sides.
