Amid renewed military tensions between the US and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz, Pakistan and Kuwait have urged both countries to abide by last month's peace agreement and not further escalate the situation. Pakistan's Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held a telephone conversation on Saturday during which the two leaders discussed the latest developments in the Middle East. The conversation came as the US and Iran launched new attacks on each other's military and infrastructure facilities on Saturday. The conflict between the two countries over Hormuz has intensified once again. Kuwait's foreign minister, during the talks, expressed serious concern over the attacks on his country and urged all parties to exercise restraint and fully implement the MoU. Kuwait has also been affected in recent days. Kuwait has a desalination facility and its Kuwaiti seaplane plant temporarily damaged.
