Pakistani Think Tank Warns of High Probability of War Between India and Pakistan Within 1-2 Years

The Center for International Strategic Studies, a Pakistani think tank based in Islamabad that studies military and geopolitical affairs, has said in one of its assessments that a war between India and Pakistan could occur in the next 12 to 24 months. According to CISS, the probability of a military conflict between India and Pakistan within the next 12 to 24 months is 59.32 percent. This assessment of the Pakistani think tank has caught everyone's attention and has started discussing the reasons behind reaching this conclusion. The Center for International Strategic Studies, a think tank associated with the Pakistani military, has made this estimate using strategic models. According to it, the current tensions, regional equations, and internal political pressures between the two countries make a military confrontation or war likely within the next one to two years. Pakistani strategists believe that India's'zero tolerance'policy against terrorism will become the biggest cause of war. It states that even a small military action on the Indian side of the Indo-Pak border (PoK) cannot be limited to what it calls a limited military action on the Pakistani side of the border.
