To protect terrorism and its networks in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is working on a new strategy. Intelligence agencies report that the ISI has directed its already formed network of Over Ground Workers (OGWs) to infiltrate national political parties in order to avoid investigation of terrorist incidents. According to them, this strategy is aimed at protecting terrorist sympathizers from surveillance and action by security forces by showing them as part of legitimate politics. These are the same people who play a role in providing logistical support, recruitment and funding to terrorist organizations. Shocking information has come to light during the interrogation of OGWs arrested by the Srinagar police. According to officials of central security agencies, the investigation revealed that some of these people were also members of national political parties. The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) plans to hide its network under the guise of political activities, so as to protect its operatives from suspicion during any action by security agencies. According to them, the ISI is also trying to infiltrate terrorist organizations.
