Parliamentary Affairs Ministry Calls Meeting of Floor Leaders Ahead of Monsoon Session

Ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has called a meeting of floor leaders. Kiren Rijiju has sent an invitation to rebel TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay to attend the meeting. Sudip Bandyopadhyay is among the 20 TMC MPs who had decided to join the National Citizens Party of India (NCPI). Dr Kakoli Ghosh, Chief Whip of the NCPI, has also been called to attend the meeting. The meeting will discuss important issues and legislative business to be raised during the monsoon session. Kiren Rijiju has said in his letter that the floor leaders of all political parties of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will discuss important issues and legislative business related to the upcoming monsoon session. He has appealed to all parties to cooperate in the smooth functioning of both houses of Parliament. Several political issues are also likely to be discussed in the meeting. Apart from the matter of Wangchuk from Jantar Mantar, Sonam Ramgawan can be taken to the hospital by the opposition.
