Parliamentary Committees Get New Chairpersons: KC Venugopal Reappointed as PAC Chief

New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has appointed Chairpersons to important Committees of Parliament. KC Venugopal has been reappointed as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament. BJP's Baijayant Panda has been made the Chairperson of the Public Undertakings Committee (PSU). As per an official notification, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has appointed Congress MP KC Venugopal as the Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee for the year 2026-27. Similarly, Baijayant Panda has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Public Undertakings Committee for the year 2026-27. 21 members to the Public Accounts Committee. A total of 21 members have been appointed as members of the Public Accounts Committee for the term beginning on 1 May 2026 and ending on 30 April 2027. These members include 15 Lok Sabha MPs and 6 Rajya Sabha MPs. KC Venugopal has been made the Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee.
