Patna Students Protest, Meet with Union Minister After Police Crackdown

On Tuesday (August 25, 2026), students took out a march in the capital Patna. Several student organizations were out to gherao the CM's residence. During this time, the police in Patna resorted to lathicharge. After this incident, late in the evening, Union Minister Chirag Paswan went to Gardanibagh and met the students. Chirag Paswan has shared pictures of his meeting with the students on his X handle. He has given this information that the Chief Minister has assured that the demands of the students will be seriously considered. A positive solution has also been said. Chirag Paswan wrote on X, "Today, seeing the pictures of the lathicharge on the candidates of the 70th BPSC examination in Patna, the mind was very disturbed.
