Police Seize Heroin Worth Rs 14 Lakh, Other Valuables in Raid on Khursipar House

According to the police, information was received from the informer that heroin was being bought and sold in a house at Zero Street, Zone No.-3, Khursipar Police Station area. Based on the information, the police team raided the house. During the operation, the main accused Jasbir Kaur, on seeing the police team, tried to flee from the spot, but the police caught her. Other people present at the spot were also detained, interrogated and searched. During the search, apart from heroin, gold and silver jewellery, cash, mobile phones, utensils and electronic scales were recovered from the cupboard. According to the police, the total weight of the recovered heroin is 70.460 grams, the estimated value of which is Rs 14 lakh 9 thousand 200. While the total estimated value of the seized material including cash, gold and silver jewellery and 8 mobile phones obtained from the sale of heroin is 29.22 lakhs. The police have arrested two accused persons including the main accused in the case, Jasbir Kaur Tirkesh, and Nitesh Soni Nishad Nishad under the NDPS Act.
