Police Workshop Aims to Enhance Crime-Solving Skills with Modern Technology

With a view to promote the use of modern technology in crime research, Kabirdham Police organized a special training workshop for the investigation officers of all the police stations and outposts of the district. The objective of this workshop was to improve the quality of investigation and to ensure faster access to criminals on the basis of scientific evidence. Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, Advertisement, Jitendra Kumar Yadav and Additional Superintendents of Police, Hemsagar Sidar and Amit Patel, the training was held in the auditorium of the Office of the Additional Superintendent of Police, Ekta Chowk. The Assistant Sub-Inspectors, Head Constables and Constables participated in this training. In the Advertisement Workshop, fingerprint expert and Senior Scientific Officer, Dharmendra Kumar Bharti, gave practical information to the officers about the preservation of fingerprints and other scientific evidence obtained from the scene of crime, correct use of fingerprint developing kits and scientific investigation process. He informed that even small pieces of evidence found from the crime scene can prove to be decisive in solving a complex case. During the training, the use of NAFIS (National Automated Fingerprint Identification System), MCU and other scientific methods of Fonts were also explained to the accused.
