Tusk previously visited in 2010 and in 2017 visited Delhi as President of the European Council. Tusk is accompanied by Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domanski and business delegates from about 100 companies. The India-Poland Business Forum is taking place in New Delhi on 22 October and in Bengaluru on 23 October. Tusk will meet with business leaders from the IT and space sectors. Poland is important to India for three reasons: India is important to Poland for three reasons: Tusk's visit is an attempt to transform India-Poland relations from a 2024 strategic partnership to substantive economic and defence cooperation.
