Meanwhile, power supply to Vaishali Nagar, Bhankrota, Chambal Power House area and PWD Bungalow area was suddenly disrupted, leading to press briefings that plunged the headquarters into darkness for about 20 minutes. However, Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, handling the situation with ease, urged reporters to switch on their mobile phone flashlights and continued to discuss the prime minister's achievements in the same light. There was also a commotion among the leaders and workers present at the event. According to the Department of Advertising Power, two transformers of 250 MVA capacity tripped during technical work at the 400 KV Grid Sub-station (GSS). Power supply to Vaishali Nagar, Bhankrota, Chambal Power House area and PWD Bungalow area was affected. The department claims that power supply to the affected areas was restored within 10 to 17 minutes and the transformer was restarted at 4: 21 pm.
