Manoj Bharti, the state president of Jan Suraj, informed the media that the party will enter the by-election from the Bankipur seat. Manoj Bharti says that the core committee will meet on July 5. After this, the name of the candidate will be announced. On this occasion, former MLC and leader of Jan Suraj Rambali Chandravanshi said that the people of the Bankipur assembly want Prashant Kishor to contest the election. We have also made up our mind that Prashant Kishor will contest the election, but it will be announced after the core committee meeting. This announcement has been made by Jan Suraj only on Thursday (July 2, 2026) when the notification regarding the by-election has been issued by the Election Commission. On July 30, while the by-election to the Bankipur seat will be held on August 3, sources say.
