President Murmu Expresses Displeasure Over Low Attendance at Tribal Event

Every year, the President of the country is invited as a special guest in this event organized by the tribal community. This year also, Draupadi Murmu was supposed to come to Siliguri. Initially, the venue was fixed as Bidhannagar. But it was not possible to take her there due to various administrative reasons, including the security of the President. Then the venue was changed to Gosaipur. After the President arrived there on Saturday afternoon, it was found that there was very little presence of people at the venue. Even the Mayor of Siliguri, Gautam Deb, was present at the Bagdogra Airport to welcome her.
