A property dispute at a private school in Ghaziabad turned violent on Tuesday, prompting authorities to temporarily shut down the school. Officials said the dispute was between a few people but affected the students. The education department strongly condemned it. District Education Planning Officer Mohammad Iqbal Shah said it was unfortunate that innocent children became victims of a private property conflict. He criticised those involved for allowing the dispute to fester in the school environment and said such matters should have been resolved outside the campus. Senior officials including the deputy CEO, zonal education officer, zonal education planning officer and cluster head visited the site after the incident. Officials secured the school records and took stock of the situation. Officials said the school will remain closed until the revenue records are checked and the dispute is resolved. The advertisement department has also said that parents have been allowed to choose their children's choice of government or private schools for the entire duration of the incident.
