Private Schools in District Face Recognition Cancellation for Failing to Apply on e-Sambandhan Portal

As many as 416 schools in the district have not applied for recognition on the e-Sambandhan portal so far. The teachers as well as the infrastructural information of the school have not been shared. The District Education Office has prepared a list of such schools and asked the headmasters to apply on the e-Sambandhan portal to take recognition within a week. Failing this, the U-DIAS code will be cancelled. These schools were given the U-DIAS code without recognition as per the year 2018-2019 rule earlier, but now under the new rule, the private schools will be accepted only after first getting recognition from the three-member committee of the District Education Office. In such a situation, these 416 schools have been placed in the unrecognized category. Along with this, there are 113 private schools in the district which have not applied on the e-Sambandhan portal for renewal even after the expiry of the three-year period of recognition.
