Priyanka Gandhi Questions Government Over Use of Force Against Protesting Students

Addressing the Lok Sabha, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra questioned the government on the protests in Delhi over the NEET paper leak. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi questioned in Parliament who will answer on the use of pellet guns and tear gas on protesting students. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, during a discussion on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Improper Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, said, "What was the need to fire tear gas at those students, to shower lathis on them, or to use water cannons against them?" Priyanka Gandhi questioned the government, saying, "What was the need to humiliate, tear their clothes and beat them mercilessly. What was the need to use pellet guns and AK-47s against the youth of the country? Were they terrorists?" The Congress leader further said, "Will the Home Minister answer this? Who gave the order to fire pellet guns?
