The turmoil in the Congress party has started ahead of the assembly elections in Punjab. Former CM Charanjit Singh Channi has given indications of rebellion. Newly elected state president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring says that if the party gives this responsibility to any other person, he will be the first to salute him. However, he ruled himself out of the CM race and made it clear that he will support whoever the party makes the CM candidate. Speaking to reporters in Chandigarh on CM face, Punjab Pradesh Congress Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said, "It is not my job to decide who will become the CM or who will be made the face of the party. If the high command decides to make Charanjit Singh Channi sahab the chief minister, then why will I have any objection? I have no objection at all. I am not in any leadership race. My only race is to form a Congress government in Punjab."
