Punjab Congress President Demands Concrete Actions from Central Government

Raja Warring said that since 2017, the central government has been discriminating against Punjab. He questioned whether the state will get its due only when a BJP government is formed here. Warring accused the prime minister of playing politics of dividing the society and said that the people of Punjab will never allow such attempts to succeed. The state president of the Congress said that Punjab needs to be rebuilt economically and agriculturally. The central government should fulfill the promises made to the farmers. He demanded legal guarantee of minimum support price (MSP), farm loan waiver, employment for youth, special package for border districts, relief to farmers and effective action against drugs. He said that Punjab has made great sacrifices for the country, so the state needs concrete decisions, not assurances.
