Punjab Politicians Unite Against Sudden Removal of Film 'Sutlej' from OTT Platform

Diljit Dosanjh's film'Sutlej'was suddenly removed in India just two days after its release on the OTT platform ZEE5. This has now caused an uproar in the politics of Punjab. All the major political parties and organizations of the state have condemned the removal of the film from OTT. Let us tell you that'Sutlej'is a film made on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra in Punjab. Khalra had exposed many cases of illegal killings and secret cremation of dead bodies by the police during the insurgency in Punjab. In such a situation, the leaders of the sudden disappearance of'Sutlej'from OTT say that it is a direct attack on the freedom of expression. According to them, an attempt is being made to suppress the historical truth through this. The leaders of all the major parties of Punjab are united in protesting against the sudden removal of the film. Senior Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira said that this is the proof that the Supreme Court of Punjab is also punishing the guilty police officers in the'Bhagwant Mann's government.
