The Bhagwant Mann government has taken a historic and unique initiative towards making Punjab the first'pole-free'state in the country. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of a pilot project to completely underground the power cables in his native village Satauj. This diplomatic and modern infrastructure project has been described by the Chief Minister as a milestone towards realizing the dream of "Roshan Punjab" and "Rangla Punjab." Under this pilot project, overhead dangerous lines of electricity will be shifted underground at a cost of about Rs. 8 crore in Satauj village alone. The Chief Minister shared the technical details and informed that under this, 7 kilometers of high tension (एच.टी.) lines, 9. 5 kilometers of low tension (एल.टी.) lines and 41 kilometers of service cable connecting 800 houses will be laid.
