According to the Kremlin statement, tensions in the Gulf region have reached a peak with Tehran's retaliatory actions following attacks on Iran by the US and Israel, which led to traffic jams at major airports such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Airspace was closed. Putin stressed the need to prevent the conflict from escalating. In a call with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the two leaders stressed an immediate ceasefire. At the same time, they called for a return to the politico-diplomatic process. The Kremlin said Putin offered to convey the UAE's grievances to Tehran and offered all possible assistance for stability in the region.
