Rahul Gandhi said that in Belagavi, in just three days, a large number of Form-7 applications were received to delete the names of about 15,000 voters. He claimed that these applications were submitted on September 22, 23 and 24. According to Rahul, the target of these applications were Muslims, SC, ST and OBC voters. He alleged that a large number of people from these communities vote against the BJP and that is why they are being targeted. He further alleged that the deletion of names from the voter list can be done through software in a centralized manner. He claimed that people associated with the BJP and the Election Commission together fill Form-7 in bulk and thus a large number of names can be missing from the voter list. Rahul also questioned that Karnataka Congress leaders are demanding an FIR against the culprits in the alleged case, then what is the status of the FIR at the level of the Chief Electoral Officer.
