Meanwhile, amid the demonstration of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and other leaders of India Block near the Election Commission headquarters on Tuesday, the Commission said that it had not received any request for a meeting from any political party. Earlier, during the protest march of'India'alliance from Parliament Street to the Election Commission headquarters, there was a lot of ruckus. Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and some other leaders sat in the premises of All India Radio building while trying to reach the commission office. When asked by the Election Commission officials if the'India'alliance leaders including Rahul Gandhi had met the Commission, Akhilesh Yadav said that no request for a meeting had been made from any political party.
