Rahul Gandhi Warns Congress Leaders of Consequences for Factionalism

Chandigarh: Addressing a huge public meeting in Barnala, Punjab, in the presence of all the senior leaders present on the stage, Rahul Gandhi categorically said, "Everyone in the party will have to work like a team player. The leader who does not fall in the line of discipline will be taken out of the team and made a'reserve player '." Rahul Gandhi warned the leaders that the Congress party is not big enough. He made it clear that if the leaders do not leave their factionalism and work unitedly, then Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will be severely punished. Seeing this aggressive attitude of Rahul Gandhi, the veteran leaders on the stage were shocked. However, Pratap Singh Bajwa called this statement a "strong message," which helped in uniting the party.
