Rahul Gandhi's 'Students' Goonj' Dialogue Fails to Make Political Impact

Prayagraj's place in Uttar Pradesh politics has always been a hotbed of historical and ideological movements. Lakhs of students from across the country prepare for civil services and other competitive examinations and make the city their home. That is why when Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi decided to hold the'Students'Goonj'dialogue in Prayagraj, it was seen in political circles as a major show of strength by the opposition against the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh. The objective of the event was also clear - to rally student discontent on issues such as paper leaks, unemployment, and delays in recruitment processes. However, this could not happen. Despite all the political claims, big posters, and propaganda tools used, the event failed to leave the political impact that was expected. In the absence of a solid ground strategy, clear direction, and efficient leadership, the event remained a simple formal dialogue rather than a challenge to the Yogi government's political fortress, barely five thousand students could organize the event, and the Congress could not be blamed for this failure.
