Rajasthan Cricket Association Elections Held, Results Stayed by Supreme Court

Elections to the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) were held after four years. The voting was held on Tuesday, but even before the voting, the Supreme Court stayed the announcement of the results. The Supreme Court has asked the High Court to hear the case and issue an order. The RCA has to elect a president, secretary, treasurer, vice-president, joint secretary and executive members. 35 out of a total of 38 voters voted. The ballot box in which the ballots were cast has been sealed. Dhananjay Singh, son of Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khinwsar, and Brijkishore Upadhyay, secretary of the Dausa District Cricket Association, are in the fray for the president's post. A total of 11 candidates were in the fray for six posts. The reputation of Ashish Tiwari, son of Rajya Sabha MP Ghanshyam Tiwari, and Mohit Yadav, son of BJP MLA Jaswant Yadav, are also at stake. Mohit has contested for both the vice-president and the secretary's post.
