Rajasthan Refinery Inauguration: A Golden Opportunity for India's Power Sector

Barmer: After a long wait of about 18 years, the ups and downs of politics, the lucky day is now near in Rajasthan, which the whole country and the state was waiting for. Although this project, which started at Rs 43,000 crore, has reached a cost of about Rs 80,000 crore today. This'golden discovery'first happened in 2004. The foundation of this ambitious project was laid in 2004, when Cairn Energy discovered oil in the'Mangla Field'of the Barmer basin. It was India's largest onshore oil discovery in the last two decades. Then the refinery was planned to process crude oil locally and accelerate economic development. Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation stone of the project in 2013.
