Political rhetoric over the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh has intensified. Cabinet minister in the Yogi government and Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (Subhaspa) president Omprakash Rajbhar has launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party and its chief Akhilesh Yadav. Rajbhar claimed that Akhilesh Yadav is upset with the crowds thronging the rallies of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi. He said that the SP is now conducting a confidential survey to understand the pros and cons of an alliance with Owaisi. Rajbhar said that the growing activism of Owaisi in Uttar Pradesh has increased the SP's concern. According to him, the Muslim society is now seeking political share from the SP. Rajbhar alleged that the SP has limited Muslims to only supporting and working for the party. He claimed that in the 2027 elections, the Muslim vote will not go to the SP as before and it will have a cascading effect on the party's performance.
