Rajkot Elections: Preparations Underway for Municipal Corporation, Panchayat, and Taluka Polls

Rajkot, Dt. 25: Rajkot District Election Officer Dr. Om Prakash gave information about the preparations made for the Rajkot Municipal Corporation, Gondal Municipal Corporation, Taluka and Zila Panchayat elections. He said that the staff will leave at all the booths at 2 pm and the report will be available by 5 pm. He said that the list of 236 candidates has been finalized in 18 wards of Rajkot Municipal Corporation. In the metropolis, there are 5,10,086 male voters. 4,75,848 female voters and 18 third gender voters. 8948 polling staff have been deployed at 1014 polling stations. 2326 ballot units and 1163 control units will be used in the elections. There are six officers of class I level and six officers of class II level as election officers. There are 151 postal ballot units in the metropolitan area, 1480 employees have used postal ballots in total. In the metropolis, 506 and eight highly sensitive polling stations have been declared for the elections.
