Rajkot Municipal Corporation Elections: Four New Faces Expected in Ward No. 10

RAJKOT, Dt. 4: With the drums of the municipal corporation elections almost set to roll in late April or early May, all political parties are doing the math to select their candidates. Talking about Ward No. 10 of Rajkot, this ward is considered to be a stronghold of the BJP. It is from this ward that prominent leaders of the state like former Chief Minister late Vijaybhai Rupani, Binaben Acharya, Dr. Jainam Upadhyay, Mohanbhai Kundariya and Kashmiraben Nathwani have represented at the state level as well as the post of mayor. However, given the current political climate, the results of this election seem to be going in a different direction. Political pundits are reacting to the buzz that this ward may see four new faces. According to the new roster and equations in Ward No. 10, one seat has been allocated to the general male, one to the OBC male, and two to the general female. This change is being discussed as the possibility of the four existing corporators becoming'corporators '.
