Rajkot Municipal Corporation's First Meeting to Appoint Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Standing Committee Members

RAJKOT: The first meeting of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation will be held next week. Apart from the mayor, the deputy mayor and 12 members of the standing committee will be appointed. The city BJP coordination committee has submitted a panel of four names each for all five posts in the parliamentary board. However, the names of five corporators are under discussion for the mayoral post. The names of Shukla, Narendra Singh Jadeja, Ketan Patel have been submitted as a panel for the mayoral post. But for the last several days, the name of Ashwinbhai Bhoraniya is being discussed as a strong contender. If he is given the post of mayor or chairman, then the possibility of appointing a Brahmin corporator as the chairman of the standing committee is more likely. Raghuvanshi Mahila Nagarsevika as the deputy mayor is almost final. While the leader of the ruling party will be given a chance as a Scheduled Caste corporator and the corporator of the party will be given 5 OBC seats.
