Rajkot Questions Bharatiya Janata Party's Direction on Foundation Day

Rajkot: Today, on the foundation day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, which was established on 6 April 1980, Rajkot is witnessing serious introspection about the current performance and direction of the party. There is a widespread discussion that the old leaders who built the party with the ideals of Atalji and Advaniji and their families have been forgotten and the dominance of'imported'leaders through recruitment fairs has increased. In the wake of some recent controversial incidents and the raft of over 1,100 candidates seeking tickets for the upcoming local elections, questions have been raised about whether the party's core principles are being maintained. Instead of the mantra of eradicating fear, hunger and corruption, which is the basic principle of the party, the same questions have been raised at the local level and the'Nishtha Commission'has been forgotten. The image of the party has been damaged due to the TRP game zone tragedy, protection money in illegal constructions, and the names of some leaders cropping up in other serious matters. Many old leaders who founded the party in Rajkot have been forgotten on the foundation day itself.
