Rajshri Shahu Shetkari Aghadi Leads in Gokul Milk Union Elections

In Kolhapur's Gokul Milk Union elections, there seems to be a major reversal. Satej Patil-led Rajshri Shahu Shetkari Aghadi is heading towards victory. Chhatrapati Shahu Shetkari Vikas Aghadi, supported by Mahayuti, seems to be facing a setback. Naveed Mushrif, son of Maharashtra minister Hasan Mushrif, has lost the elections. Shoumika Mahadik, wife of former BJP MLA Amal Mahadik, has also lost. Shoumika has been the president of Kolhapur Zila Parishad. She is also the vice-president of BJP Mahila Morcha. The Gokul Milk Union is dominated by the Mahadik family. Shoumika is the incumbent president of Milk Union and has lost by seven votes. After this defeat, Ambari Ambari has demanded a re-counting.
