Ram Temple Controversy: Trust Denies Allegations of Missing Funds

The political and administrative controversy over the offerings and collection of money at the Ram temple in Ayodhya is at the center of the country's politics at the moment. After serious allegations from the Samajwadi Party, the Aam Aadmi Party and local leaders, the temple trust has also clarified its position. The controversy began with Akhilesh Yadav's statement. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav alleged through social media'X'that crores of rupees of offerings are missing from the temple. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh also made serious allegations of large-scale bungling in the counting of donations and offerings. Pawan Pandey, who was a minister in the SP government of UP, had expressed fears that up to Rs. 75 million of the donated money would go missing. Now the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has categorically denied all these claims. Some media reports and discussions also claimed that four people have been arrested on charges of stealing money from the donation box and some cash has been recovered.
