Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, while giving a statement on the split in Shiv Sena (UBT), said that he believes that 6 MPs of the party broke away because they did not want to be with Uddhav Thackeray. He alleged that Uddhav Thackeray made a big mistake by leaving the Mahayuti and siding with the Maha Vikas Aghadi and that aligning with the Congress-NCP was to take a decision against the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray. It is also being said that due to this reason the Shiv Sena and Shiv Sena are leaving Uddhav Thackeray. Ramdas Athawale said that if Uddhav Thackeray had remained in the Mahayuti with the NDA in 2019 itself, such a situation would not have arisen. He also alleged that the opposition leaders deliberately opposed the Women's Reservation Bill and the Delimitation Bill and betrayed the NDA. He said that now there will be a monsoon session of Parliament, in which the government can pass this bill with a majority, which will give justice to the women. Further, he said that Ajit Pawar is not in the NDA and when the municipal elections were held today, Sharad Pawar was in the NCP.
