Sandeep Addanaik, Lokmat News Network, Kolhapur: The revised schedule for the five-yearly elections to the executive body, which was delayed for six years due to the recent lifting of the stay on the elections to the All India Marathi Film Corporation by the Supreme Court, has finally been announced. The nomination process is scheduled to begin on 19 May and voting, if necessary, will be held in Kolhapur, Mumbai, and Pune on 7 June, with counting and results to be announced on 8 June. The revised schedule for the elections to be held for the period from 2026-27 to 2031-32, from filing of nominations to voting and counting of votes, was released by the returning officers. The election to the corporation, bearing Trust Register No.F-127 / Co., was ordered by the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Charitable Endowments in 2022. The then inspector was appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer. The preliminary election process was completed at that time. However, the election was stayed by the Bombay High Court on 11 January 2023. The nomination process was resumed on 7 May 2026 and as per the Supreme Court's order dated 17 May 2026.
