RJD Names Rekha Gupta Candidate for Bankipur Assembly Seat By-Election

Rekha Gupta will be the RJD candidate from Bankipur assembly seat. It was announced in a press conference by the party on Monday (July 06, 2026). Rekha Gupta was given a ticket by the RJD from Bankipur in the 2025 Bihar assembly election. Now that the by-election is being held on this seat again, the party has decided to give her a chance. RJD state president Mangani Lal Mandal held a press conference and named Rekha Gupta as the party's candidate. With her announcement, the Congress also claimed this seat.
