Kolkata: In the current political scenario of West Bengal, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) fielded its full strength. The Sangh, which had only 800 shakhas in 2011, has established a strong foothold in the state by launching more than 4500 shakhas before the 2026 elections. A silent operation called'Lokmat Safal'has been run by holding about 17.5 lakh (one lakh seventy five thousand) small meetings on serious issues like women's security, corruption and infiltration, which has signalled a major change in Bengal politics and posed a major challenge to the ruling party.
