Satara Power Struggle: Unexpected Alliances and Rivalries Emerge

Satara: The tussle over the election of the president and vice-president of Satara Zilla Parishad has reached the legislature. However, in the midst of all this political fanfare, a different picture has emerged. Shindesena's meeting with Koregaon MLA Mahesh Shinde and BJP minister Jaykumar Goreya in the legislative assembly premises became a topic of discussion in the political circles. While Shindesena was injured due to the split of two party members in the district council, on the other hand, the party MLA's closeness with BJP ministers raised eyebrows. In the council battle, Dr. Priya Shinde, the wife of Mahesh Shinde, contested from the BJP and won the post of president. However, during this election, two members of Shindesena broke away. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde himself expressed regret in the legislature. Despite this, Mahesh Shinde directly blamed Guardian Minister Shambhuraj Desai and NCP (Sharad Pawar) state president Shashikant Shinde.
