Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections today. Sharad Pawar's candidature has been endorsed by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies Congress and Shiv Sena. Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray has also indicated that the election will now be unopposed. Sharad Pawar is set to go back to the Rajya Sabha. Sharad Pawar has been ill for the past few days. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment. He was also discharged from the hospital after recovering. But he has been advised by doctors to rest. So he has come in front of the media today and tweeted without reacting. "My journey as a public representative began in 1967 and continues unabated till today. This long journey is not only mine but of the people of Maharashtra, because of the trust and support they have shown in me, I was able to continue this parliamentary journey without interruption."
