Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina is going to appear before the media for the first time in public almost two years after losing power. She will address a virtual event in New Delhi on August 5. During this time, she can openly talk about her political roadmap and plans to return to Bangladesh. Actually, this special program is being held on behalf of the New Delhi-based Foreign Correspondents Club of South Asia (FCC South Asia). This dialogue will be held at the Sir Mark Tully Auditorium on Mathura Road from 6 to 7: 30 pm on 5 August 2026. This program will also be broadcast live on social media platforms. Interestingly, this program is happening on the same day that Sheikh Hasina's 15-year-old rule ended two years ago, i.e. on 5 August 2024. She had to leave the country suddenly after a fierce movement of students in Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina has been away from public programs and media attention since her arrival in India. This will be the first public address of Sheikh Hasina and many former diplomats will join her.
