Shinde Criticizes Opposition Over Student Protests, Defends Modi's Record

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde lashed out at the opposition over the students'agitation. During the event held at the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, he said that the students'agitation is now over, so Eknath Shinde alleged that this is an attempt to take credit for the movement. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always given priority to the youth and the people of the country. He said that the concerned minister has also resigned and Prime Minister Modi is also bringing a new law to stop the paper leak. Shinde defended the working style of Prime Minister Modi, saying that Prime Minister Modi is among those who work, not among those who show off. He said that the government is serious about the problems of the youth. At the same time, Eknath Shinde strongly criticized the crowd mobilization for the protest outside the Prime Minister's residence under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. He alleged that such a demonstration outside the Prime Minister's house could pose a threat to their security. Deputy CM said that Rahul Gandhi found out that the Prime Minister's security had been set up despite the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
